| The Benefits
Sun Protection. Paver systems in Florida are incredibly vulnerable to the sun. In time, un-sealed pavers begin to look worn, faded and dull.Properly installed, paver sealing will renew the surface color and provide a protective barrier from the sun and its damaging effects.
Stain Prevention. Most pavers today are made of concrete, which is by its very nature a semi-porous material, susceptible to all kinds of staining and marking. Oil, grease and rust are very difficult to remove from unsealed pavers because they are so easily absorbed. Paver sealing prevents the absorption of these stains, as well as retarding the growth of algae, mold, mildew and weeds making ongoing maintenance of a properly sealed paver surface much easier and far more effective.
Structural integrity. Most brick pavers use a joint sand system to keep the pavers in place, and space one from the next. An integral part of our paver sealing process is thoroughly re-sanding these joints prior to the application of sealant. Additionally, paver sealing effectively reduces the effects of erosion on the pavers, preventing the exposure of the structural aggregate.
Appearance. Aesthetically, there is no question that a properly sealed brick paver surface looks better than its un-sealed counterpart. Our clients will notice a substantial deepening of the stones natural color, as well as a crisp elegant look that can be completed in your choice of finishes. Matte, Satin or High Gloss.
